Job description

This experienced colleague-level role sits within the Regulatory Oversight pillar and provides day-to-day evidence-based oversight and challenge of BPO-delivered CASS activities and related controls. The role supports independent oversight of outsourced CASS activities, ensuring reconciliations, controls and governance outputs are accurate, complete and evidenced, with issues escalated and remediated. Reporting to the Head of Regulatory & CASS Oversight (BPO Oversight). Key responsibilities include supporting oversight of CASS operational, reporting and control activities performed by BPO providers, ensuring outsourced outputs comply with internal standards and regulatory expectations, maintaining evidence of oversight and control validation for audit and regulatory purposes, supporting SMF16/24 accountability evidence, identifying and escalating risks, reviewing reconciliation outputs and exception management, overseeing mandate controls and client asset processes, supporting regulatory reporting inputs, preparing MI and evidence packs, tracking remediation actions, supporting CASS breaches and incidents management, supporting root cause analysis, considering customer impact under Consumer Duty expectations, maintaining documented reviews and audit trails, and supporting control testing activities. Requirements include knowledge of CASS/client assets environment, reconciliations and control frameworks, strong analytical skills, attention to detail, confidence challenging third-party outputs, and experience in operations, controls, risk or oversight within financial services.
