Manager- Scale up Engineering (R & D) for FMCG Company at Greater Noida Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Scale-Up Engineer to lead the successful commercialization of new bakery products, including biscuits, cakes, and rusk, etc. The role involves translating R&D formulations into full-scale manufacturing processes while ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical engineering background with hands-on experience in bakery production or maintenance. Key Responsibilities Product Commercialization & Scale-Up • Lead scale-up activities from pilot trials to full-scale production • Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and Production teams • Optimize processes for consistent quality and throughput • Conduct plant trials and validate process parameters Process Optimization & Efficiency • Identify improvement opportunities in productivity and yield • Implement Lean / TPM initiatives • Ensure efficient use of machinery and resources Equipment & Maintenance Coordination • Ensure machinery readiness for trials and production • Recommend equipment upgrades/modifications • Troubleshoot mechanical/process issues Cross-Functional Collaboration • Coordinate with Procurement, QA, and Operations • Train production teams on new processes Documentation & Compliance • Maintain SOPs and trial reports • Ensure compliance with FSSAI, HACCP, ISO standards • Track KPIs related to launches and efficiency Pilot Plant • Ensure the availability of Pilot Plant for all R&D trials • Maintain all the infrastructure and equipment’s in the R&D Centre Key Skills • Bakery process knowledge • Scale-up and process validation expertise • Mechanical problem-solving skills • Automation and equipment understanding • Project management • Food safety standards awareness Preferred Attributes • FMCG product launch experience • Lean Manufacturing / TPM exposure • Strong communication and leadership skills KPIs • Timely product commercialization • Reduced scale-up time and cost • Improved efficiency and yield • Minimal downtime • Quality and compliance adherence Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering Experience 6–8 years in bakery manufacturing (biscuits, cakes, or rusk) • Experience in production or maintenance roles • Knowledge of bakery equipment (ovens, mixers, moulders, packaging lines) Salary: 10 to 12 lacs PA Contact: M/S Everest Management & Consultant (Since 1985)
