Job description
Lead and supervise instrumentation activities during the assigned shift. Monitor the health, performance, and reliability of PLC, SCADA, DCS, RTU, HMI, and BMS systems to ensure uninterrupted plant operations. Ensure continuous functioning of field instruments, control valves, analyzers, HVAC controls, Fire Alarm Systems, and Gas Detection Systems. Coordinate preventive, predictive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance activities to minimize downtime. Troubleshoot instrumentation and automation system faults, analyze alarms, system events, and operational abnormalities, and initiate corrective actions. Supervise calibration, loop checking, testing, commissioning, and validation of instrumentation equipment. Maintain accurate shift handover reports, maintenance records, and operational documentation. Coordinate with Operations, Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, Fire & Safety, Utility, and Maintenance teams for seamless plant functioning. Monitor Water Treatment, Chemical Dosing, STP/ETP, and utility systems from an instrumentation perspective. Ensure compliance with Permit-to-Work (PTW), Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), HSE procedures, and company safety standards. Handle emergency situations related to instrumentation, automation, gas detection, and fire protection systems. Support plant shutdowns, turnarounds, project modifications, and commissioning activities. Candidate should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline. Candidates with 5–10 years of experience in Power Plants, Solar Plants, Data Centers, Oil & Gas, Chemical Plants, Water Treatment Facilities, or Industrial Utilities are preferred, with at least 2–3 years in shift operations or supervisory roles.
