Job description
Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end driver manpower planning, recruitment, and onboarding across locations. Develop driver hiring strategies to ensure timely availability of trained drivers. Oversee verification processes including driving license, police verification, medical fitness, and statutory documentation. Design and implement driver welfare, retention, engagement, and reward programs. Monitor driver attendance, deployment, absenteeism, attrition, and productivity. Coordinate with operations and fleet teams for driver allocation and route management. Drive safety initiatives, accident control measures, and defensive driving training programs. Handle disciplinary matters, grievance management, and employee relations for driver workforce. Develop SOPs and policies related to driver management and transport HR operations. Review MIS reports related to manpower, overtime, utilization, accidents, and compliance status. Lead audits and ensure statutory and client compliance readiness. Manage contractor and vendor workforce compliance related to drivers. Build a performance-driven and disciplined driver culture across operations. Required Skills Strong leadership and team management capability. Excellent knowledge of transport HR operations and labor compliance. Expertise in driver workforce handling and fleet coordination. Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills. Proficiency in HRMIS, Excel, and reporting systems. Qualification Graduate / MBA in HR / Personnel Management preferred. Experience 8–15 years experience in logistics, transport, fleet, or supply chain industry with exposure to driver workforce management. The selected candidate will be based at the workshop and will interact regularly with drivers. The role involves managing the end-to-end lifecycle of drivers Working days: 6 days a week. Working hours: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Candidate stability is a critical requirement Candidates must have experience in the logistics industry.
